Understanding Concrete Grades
Concrete grades refer to the strength and composition of concrete, and the minimum strength it should have after 28 days of construction. The M in the grade refers to "Mix" and the number indicates the concrete's strength in N/mm² after 28 days.
For example, M10 means the strength of concrete after 28 days is 10 Newtons/Square Millimeter or 1,450 pounds per square inch (PSI).
1 Newton/mm² = 1 Megapascal (MPa)
Important Note
All quantities generated by this calculator are estimates based on standard calculations. Actual material requirements may differ based on:
- Local material specifications
- Site conditions and waste
- Contractor expertise
- Weather and curing conditions
Always consult with local experts for precise estimates.
